Dust extraction, reliably configured

Industrial dust extractors, individually configured from 100 to 250,000 m³/h, for every dust type, every process, and every compliance requirement.

Dust is a liability

In metalworking, plastics processing, foundries, woodworking, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and recycling, fine particulate is generated continuously, and it does more than settle on surfaces. Respirable dust penetrates deep into the lungs. Combustible dusts like aluminium, wood, organic powders may create fire and explosion risk. Dust on sensors, bearings, and control electronics shortens maintenance intervals and degrades product quality. Any facility with airborne dust above workplace exposure limits (AGW/TRGS/OSHA) carries regulatory liability.

A correctly specified dust extractor addresses all of this at source, before dust reaches the breathing zone, the machinery, or the hall air. Correctly specified means the right filter technology for the dust type, the right air volume for the process, and the right cleaning mechanism for continuous operation.

The NAF Dust Extractor, built under licence from ULMATEC GmbH and manufactured in India, is configured from a modular kit with over 2 Lakhs possible variants, in seven size classes from XS to XXL, covering 100 to 250,000 m³/h.

Specify it right

An undersized or poorly matched extractor costs more to run, fails compliance, and creates the health and safety liability it was meant to remove. A correctly specified one does none of that.

2 Lakhs variants, one fits your process

Every NAF Dust Extractor is configured from seven independently selectable modules: exhaust air, fan, filter cleaning, controls, filter, discharge, and mobility. Seven size classes, XS to XXL, 100 to 250,000 m³/h. The configuration that matches your dust, your air volume, and your discharge method is the one we build.

Built-in compliance - TRGS, AGW, ATEX, VDI 2262

NAF Dust Extractors are designed to meet workplace air quality limits (TRGS, AGW, OSHA), VDI 2262, and ATEX requirements for combustible dusts. Automatic JetPulse filter cleaning holds performance steady, so the facility stays compliant.

Low maintenance by design

Automatic filter cleaning by JetPulse compressed-air pulses or vibration keeps filter resistance low and service intervals long up to 6,000 operating hours between media changes in correctly specified applications. Differential pressure monitoring signals exactly when attention is needed: fewer unplanned stops, lower consumable spend, predictable cost.

Built like a kit

Key advantages

All dust types

Dry, free-flowing, abrasive, fibrous, moist, sticky, combustible the filter technology is matched to the dust.

Modular and expandable

The seven-module kit system means the extractor grows with your production new machines, higher volumes, new processes added without replacing the core installation.

Energy efficient

Demand-controlled fan management, low-pressure-drop filter media, and optional heat recovery reduce energy consumption substantially versus fixed-speed, fixed-capacity systems.

ATEX certified

Full explosion-protected configurations available for combustible dusts like aluminium, magnesium, wood, organic powders with spark arrestors, pressure relief, and ATEX-rated components throughout.

Flexible discharge

16 to 160-litre round containers, drawers, BigBag stations, and conveyors configured to your material handling process.

Range of sizes

We build to the job, seven size classes, each matched to the air volume your process actually needs.

German engineering, for Indian Factories

The NAF Dust Extractor is built under a licence partnership with ULMATEC GmbH, one of Germany’s established industrial extraction specialists, and manufactured in India.

ULMATEC’s modular kit – over 2 Lakhs configuration variants across seven size classes – was developed so the system fits the process exactly.

Each module is engineered independently: the fan is sized to the system, the filter is selected for the dust, the discharge is configured to your material handling. Delivered through NAF’s Indian manufacturing and support, that brings German engineering precision to Indian facilities at a locally competitive price, without import lead times or foreign-exchange cost.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a dust extractor, a dust separator, and a dry separator?
In industrial use these terms overlap. “Dust extractor” is the umbrella term for any system that separates airborne dust. “Dust separator” usually refers to the separation component within a larger system. “Dry separator” specifies that the mechanism uses no liquid filter media, cartridges or bags which distinguishes it from wet separators used for reactive, moist, or sticky dusts. NAF supplies both dry and wet systems and advises on which suits your dust and process.
It depends on particle size, moisture, abrasiveness, and whether the dust is combustible. Our team characterises your dust and matches the filter media and cleaning mechanism to it.
Yes. Full explosion-protected configurations are available — spark arrestors, pressure relief, and ATEX-rated components throughout — for dusts such as aluminium, magnesium, wood, and organic powders.
Automatic JetPulse compressed-air pulses or vibration keep filter resistance low. In correctly specified applications, media runs up to 6,000 operating hours between changes, with differential pressure monitoring signalling when service is due.
Yes. The seven-module kit lets you add capacity, machines, or processes without replacing the core installation.
